As highlighted by king Solomon in Ecclesiastes 3:1-8, there is indeed a time and purpose for everything under the sun. In the same vein, there is a time to call on God, and there is a time when it would be too late to call on Him. Suffice to say that there is a time when God can be found, and there is a time when it is otherwise. That is the very reason why God implores everyone through the mouth of the prophet Isaiah, to seek Him while He may be found; and to call on Him while He is near (Isaiah 55:6).
Apart from being given over to a reprobate mind (as discussed in the previous note), death is another event that can close the doors to the salvation of anyone. On the event of anyone’s demise without salvation, eternal damnation is inevitable. But as it is written, “It is appointed unto men once to die, and after this the judgement” (Hebrews 9:27). This mean that as much as God can be patient and merciful towards anyone, on the event of death, the fate of the individual is sealed. That is why the people to whom the Message of Redemption has been given, are always urged (by their Calling) to do so with utmost care and urgency. Because of a truth when death comes knocking, it is the end for the one who answers the call!
Yet another sad news is that death can come at any time—mostly at a time when no one expects. But as bad as it may be for the unprepared, it is good news for them that are standing on the solid Rock. It is true that the Message of the Cross may sound foolish to the natural mind; but it is nonetheless the greatest Truth ever. Yet the devil being whom he is, has made it so repulsive in the ears of men, and has hardened their hearts that he may have multitudes with whom to spend the rest of his life! But do not be deceived; the devil had long been beheld falling like a light in the sky—and the choice of falling with him or not, is personal.
That leads me to these questions: For how long will you pave the way for your own fall? For how long will you fuel your own fire of damnation? For how long will you indulge in your wickedness? For how long will you hold on to (and propagate) those devilish philosophies? For how long will you be wise in your own eyes but a laughing stock of peril? For how long will you be an accomplice to evil? For how long will you be a hypocrite, even in the house of God? For how long will you prophesy under a false anointing? For how long will you conceal your sins and die in silence? For how long will you deceive yourself for a cheap applause?
Another chance is here for you today to repent. Choose now the Life available in Christ Jesus and live, for tomorrow may indeed be too late for you. My friend, make hay while the sun is still shinning!
